Coupons and promo codes give you extra balance or a discount on SinarCloud, and gift codes give you free tokens for an AI model. You redeem gift codes and most coupons on the Billing page in the console. Promo codes for new servers go in at VPS checkout.

What a coupon can give you

Some promotions cover both AI usage and new servers. Redeem the code on the Billing page to get the AI discount, and enter it at VPS checkout to get the server discount. Each use counts toward the promotion’s limits, so a code that allows one use per account works in only one of these places. Balance from a coupon works like any other balance. You can spend it on servers and AI requests. It doesn’t bring back a suspended server on its own, though. If your balance now covers the server’s renewal, click Renew now in the This server is suspended notice on the server’s page. See Balance and billing.
Coupons don’t add token credits, but gifts do. Some gifts open in a popup in the console, and nothing is added until you click Claim gift. Others come with a gift code: redeem it like a coupon, and the gift is claimed at once. See Gift code and Token credits.

Redeem a coupon on the Billing page

1

Open the Redeem dialog

In the console sidebar, under Account, click Billing. Then click Redeem at the top of the page. The Redeem button is disabled while your balance is loading or can’t be loaded. If your balance doesn’t load, click Retry on the balance card. The button is also disabled when your wallet is frozen or closed. In that case, contact support.
2

Enter the code

Type or paste the code into Coupon code. Gift codes go in the same field. Codes are case-insensitive, so uppercase and lowercase letters both work.
The Redeem coupon dialog open over the Billing page, explaining that a coupon or gift code credits your wallet, unlocks an AI usage discount or claims a gift. It shows an empty, required Coupon code field with a hint that codes are case-insensitive, a Cancel button and a disabled Redeem coupon button.

Redeem it

SinarCloud runs a quick security check as soon as the dialog opens. It usually finishes on its own. If a checkbox appears under Coupon code, tick it.Then click Redeem coupon. The button shows Redeeming… while SinarCloud applies the coupon. When it works, the dialog shows Coupon redeemed. Click Done to close it, or Redeem another to enter another code.A gift code works differently: the dialog closes, and the gift popup opens with your gift. See Gift code.
If redeeming fails because of a connection problem or the security check, click Redeem coupon again. Keep the dialog open and don’t change the code. The coupon is applied only once.

After you redeem

Balance credit

The dialog tells you how much “has been credited to your wallet.” Your balance goes up right away:
  • Current Credits on the Billing page shows the new balance.
  • The Transactions tab lists a Coupon credit entry with your code and the promotion name, the amount added and the status Completed. Click the entry to see its details.
Usually, you can redeem each balance coupon once per account.

AI usage discount

The dialog confirms that the promotion “is now active on your AI usage.” From then on:
  • The discount applies automatically to eligible AI requests. You don’t need a new API key or any code changes.
  • The Models page shows the discounted price next to the struck-through regular price, with a tag such as “20% off”.
  • On the Usage page, the Charge breakdown of a discounted request shows the full price, the promotion name and the amount saved. The Promotion savings report adds up your savings.
  • Each request gets one discount. If more than one discount covers a model, the largest one applies.
  • The discount lasts while the promotion runs and has budget left. After that, requests are charged at the regular price.
If you redeem an AI discount coupon you already have, the dialog confirms it again. Nothing changes, and the coupon isn’t counted twice.
Some AI discounts are applied automatically when you create your account. If your account didn’t receive one of these discounts when it was created, entering its code shows “Coupon is unavailable.”

Gift code

A gift code claims its gift as soon as you redeem it. The Redeem coupon dialog closes, and the gift popup opens with Gift claimed above the gift’s title. The popup shows how many free tokens you got and the model they pay for, with a line such as “number tokens, ready until date. They pay for model before your balance is charged.” Click View token credits to open the Token credits page. The tokens appear under Available now, and the Grants tab lists them with the source Gift. Your account can claim each gift only once. If you redeem the same gift code again, the popup shows the gift again with the tokens you have left. Once those tokens have expired, run out or been revoked, the popup shows Already claimed instead, with “Claimed on date. These tokens can no longer be used.”

Use a promo code at VPS checkout

VPS discount codes go in when you create a server, not on the Billing page. The Promo code field appears only when you’re signed in.
  1. Go to the Review step of Create a VPS and find Promo code.
  2. Enter the code and click Apply.
  3. If the code is valid, you see Code YOURCODE applied and a line telling you how much you saved on this order. The Pricing section shows the Subtotal, the Discount and the amount Due now.
The Review step of Create VPS, with summary cards for the operating system, region, provider, plan, billing period, sign-in and server name. Below them are the Promo code section with an empty code field and an Apply button, and the Wallet card; a Configuration summary and the price sit on the right.

The Promo code section on the Review step

Good to know:
  • The discount applies only to the price of the first billing period. Renewals are charged at the regular price, and the Pricing section tells you what you pay per period after the first one. See Renewals and expiry.
  • Each order gets one discount. A code you enter replaces any automatic promotion. Without a code, an automatic promotion can still appear as a Discount.
  • The Confirm your order dialog also shows the Subtotal and Discount before you click Proceed.
  • If a code is rejected, Create VPS stays disabled. Click Remove to clear the code and order without it.
  • If the order is cancelled, or the server can’t be created and your money is returned, the code doesn’t count as used. You can use it again while the promotion is still running.
  • To see the discount later, open the order from the Orders page. Its Payment card shows the Subtotal, the Discount and the Total, followed by a line describing the discount, such as “20% off first period”.

Error messages

On the Billing page

Errors appear under Failed to redeem. If you leave Coupon code empty, the field shows “Coupon code is required” and Redeem coupon stays disabled. If the security check keeps failing, turn off browser extensions that block scripts on the console, or try another browser. See Troubleshooting.

At VPS checkout

Errors appear under Code rejected. If a code you expected to work is rejected, check its terms with whoever gave it to you, or contact support.
