SinarCloud runs your tool’s requests on the model you choose. Most agent features work, because the tool itself reads files, edits code, runs commands, and keeps track of the conversation. Features that ask the API to do work on its own, such as searching the web, don’t work.

Supported tools

Codex CLI isn’t supported. It only uses the OpenAI Responses API, and no model on SinarCloud lists Responses at the moment.

What a model needs

Open the model’s details on the Models page and check its Model capabilities.

What doesn’t work through SinarCloud

SinarCloud only accepts tools that run on your computer, such as the shell, file edits, and MCP servers you add to the tool. A request that asks the API to search the web, run code, or connect to an MCP server on its own fails with 400 and the message “Only caller-executed tools are supported.”In Claude Code, this affects web search.
SinarCloud doesn’t accept documents such as PDFs in Anthropic Messages requests. It answers “This model does not support PDF input or other documents.”, and Claude Code then leaves the document out and tries again. To work with a document, convert it to text first.
Images work only on models whose capabilities list Image input or Vision. On other models, requests with images fail with 400. In Claude Code, the message starts with “Could not process image”, and Claude Code then leaves the image out and tries again.
No model on SinarCloud lists Responses at the moment, so tools that only use the Responses API can’t connect. Use a tool that supports the OpenAI Chat Completions or Anthropic Messages format instead.

Prompt caching

Claude Code marks parts of each request for caching. If the model has no cache write price, SinarCloud removes these marks and sends the rest of the request as it is, so you aren’t charged for cache writes. Cached input tokens that the model reports are charged at its Cache read price. See the cache prices in the model’s details on the Models page. In the OpenAI Chat Completions format, SinarCloud doesn’t remove caching marks. If a tool has a prompt caching option and you turn it on for a model without a cache write price, its requests fail with 400 and the message “The requested cache write duration is unavailable for this model.” Leave such options off for these models. The tools in these guides don’t send caching marks with the settings they describe.

Errors

Errors from SinarCloud reach the tool, which shows them in its own way. Each guide lists the messages you’re most likely to see. For what an error code means, see Send requests and Troubleshooting.
